Cornwall is renowned for many things: beautiful beaches, wonderful walking areas, amazing history, folklore and legend, liquid sunshine (rain). Although the one thing that has endured over the years and has become (we believe) to be an icon of Cornwall is the Great Cornish Pasty.
The Pasty has over the years been modified and now seems to cater for just about any taste from the traditional steak pasty to the apple & stilton cheese! It was time to create something in celebration of the pasty something as unique as Cornwall itself - and now as we say in Cornwall yer tis (here it is). The Pasty Plate. The Pasty Plate was launched in July 2005 when the first deliveries were made to Redruth, Falmouth, Tintagel and Boscastle.
Bring that delicious smell of fresh cooked pasties to your home, complimented with our unique serving ware.
Like most people who live in Cornwall we are proud of our heritage. One of the things that has put Cornwall on the map forever was the birth of the humble Cornish pasty. For centuries It has evolved into the Cornish Pasty we eat and love today.
We here at Karn Design felt that this great piece of Cornish history needed something special & unique, so we set about devising a special way we could celebrate the Cornish pasty. What we have come up with we think you will agree fits this need. Karn Design is proud of what we have achieved in the creation of the first and only pasty-ware created by local people and made locally in Cornwall.
